Chief Strategy Officer (CSO)

Role Overview

The CSO will lead strategic positioning and business development for Solstice Defence Corporation, with responsibility for cultivating senior relationships, advancing new business opportunities, and shaping long-term growth strategy across Canada, the United States, NATO, and allied markets.

Ideal Profile

·      Retired or imminently retiring senior Army or Navy officer (general or flag rank or equivalent)

·      Experience operating at the strategic political-military-industrial interface

·      Background in land, maritime, joint, or alliance-based systems

·      Engineering, systems, or technically oriented education preferred

‍

Key Attributes

·      Highly credible with ministers, deputy ministers, ADMs, senior military leaders, and industry executives

·      Strong business-development orientation and relationship-building capability

·      Strategic thinker able to frame complex defence, industrial, and national security narratives

·      Loyal, collaborative, and effective within a small, senior leadership team

·      Skilled at opening doors and sustaining long-term strategic partnerships

Additional Assets

·      Fluency in English and French

·      Experience U.S., international defence and alliance networks

·      Relationships with Defence Primes and strategic suppliers
